How to start Samba daemon on Linux
Question: I restarted my Linux box and its previously shared drives are not accessible from other Windows boxes in our LAN. What's wrong?Answer: You did not configure samba to start up automatically. You can start it manually with these commands (you need to be logged in as root for this). To make your Samba daemons start automatically, you can specify them to by using a utility such as linuxconf.
