Question:

My computer system has been compromised (password was detected) and I need a list of all file extensions that can (under Windows) carry active contents. Meaning executables and also data documents that can carry code in the form of macros.

Answer:

Below is such a list. It is as complete as I can think of but there are certainly more 'dangerous' file extensions. Note that even windows help files can carry links to DLLs and the help file can call the functions located in the DLLs.
