Bad smelling garbage disposal
Use white vinegar to make ice cubes, then run them through the disposal. Follow with cool water.

Dingy cutting board
Rub the flat surface of a lemon wedge over a butcher block to disinfect, or over plastic to lighten stains.

Unruly heaps of plastic grocery bags
Stuff them into empty paper towel roll holders and line them up in a drawer or on a shelf as dispensers.

Spots on stainless steel
A solution of four tablespoons of baking soda and one quart of water gets tough spots out of basins.
