A second life for old furnishings:

  • After upgrading to a new model, use your old computer as a dedicated MP3 jukebox.
  • Drawers from old dressers can be used as pet beds.
  • Drape folded quilts or blankets over the rungs of a weathered ladder.
  • With one side removed and a couple minor adjustments (you'll need detailed guidance), a baby crib becomes a loveseat.
  • Cut sheets in half and hem one side to make cafĂ© curtains.

  • Turn the shelved headboard of a bed frame into a bookshelf.
  • Attach the bottom of a splattered paint bucket to the wall, and it's a towel cubby.
