Chael, Mark Barrett, Logan is still at it. He is now in the Shippensburg, Pa area. His wife’s name is Kelli and they have children. They own a security firm in the area. His “wife” aka himself is trying to get me to hook up with him but she will not voice verify with me. He is such a scammer. Picture shows his screen name

This jerk is still at it, targeting women who are looking for an honest relationship. I ran across his profile on, and we messaged a few times, and then moved to texting. The name he went by to me was Logan Maersk, and told me his wife's name had been Anna, and of course, that he had 2 kids (girl and boy) who had also been killed in the accident. I didn't ask many questions about it, because I was being respectful. He said he owned a Securities company, and traveled a lot. (The frequent travel and flights were an excellent excuse for him being unavailable to answer texts and calls.) He said he was from Wyoming and that he had a ranch in Montana, and said that he had lived in a lot of different states - that he had moved a lot for work, since the accident, and that he was hoping to 'have roots to settle down again.' He told me that his mother was the only person alive in his family, that his father and sister had both committed suicide years apart. He talked about his belief in God, that he wanted children, etc. (same as he told other women) At this time, he said he was living in Tennessee, but moving to North Carolina in a couple of months. (His number traced back to Tennessee - (423) 424-3380 - but as of the first week in April, was 'no longer in service.' ) We met up in Charlotte, NC in February, and he gave the same elaborate story as detailed in others' accounts above. To me, it was so detailed (even though it seemed far-fetched), that it was somehow believable, given that we had met in person. We continued texting, and met up one other time in Charlotte. After almost 2 months of believing his lies, and giving him the benefit of the doubt, I text him, only to get 'This phone number is no longer in service.' That was on a Wednesday. At this point, I assumed that he had decided to disappear, but I just assumed he was a regular douchebag. The following Sunday evening, he text me from a different phone number - (704) 380-9550 - which is a NC area code. We spoke on the phone, and he claimed that he had text me before he had his other number disconnected, telling me that he was getting his NC number set up. At this point, I had questions. I told him that I thought that he had just turned out to be a player, he was 'hurt that I thought that of him.' I told him that I couldn't figure out what his ultimate objective would have tell so many lies and then just disappear, and that if he was a player, that he should act like one from the beginning. and not act and speak in a way to lead someone to believe otherwise. I was still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt (stupidly), thinking that maybe his feelings really were hurt. He quickly got off the phone. I sent him another text that night, and one the following day with no response. I reverse image searched the one picture that he had sent to me, and ended up here. He is currently about 30-40 pounds lighter than his 'muscle bound' pictures, and had mentioned that he was really excited to be getting back to the gym. Seeing all of the pictures in this post, it is definitely the same person that I met.

After reading through the multiple pages about his escapades, it is clear that he is an experienced, professional dating scammer. He is manipulative, and knows who to target, and what to say to make himself and his stories believable. He is very charming, acts incredibly sweet, kind, and caring - and always has a ready excuse for anything that is questionable. The first time we spoke on the phone, he asked if I had been on eharmony, which could be a typical question for someone you are just talking to for the first time, but after seeing all of this, I suspect that he has or recently had a profile posted there as well. He has de-activated the account on match that he was using when we met. (He also mentioned that he had to hide his profile on match at one point, because 'someone was bad-mouthing his dead wife, etc, and that he had to report them.') Hind-sight is 20-20. There are EVIL people in the world, and Logan/Mark/Chris/Chael/Kael - whoever he really is - is one of them.

He knows about self-defense, and weapons - and showed me a 12 inch long knife, that he carries with him ('for his security work') - I looked up the charges from 1996 (stalking, threats, etc.) & read the article, which mentioned that police had found a 12 inch long knife in his vehicle - which is incredibly scary. He says that he has his concealed carry permit, and based off of conversations, he has a working knowledge of guns. I'm not sure how dangerous he is from that perspective, but anyone who is clearly not mentally stable could be a physical threat easily.

Unfortunately, it is not illegal in the US to be an asshole and take advantage of women looking for a relationship - but it would be excellent if there was a common place where jerks like this could be reported and exposed to prevent their repeated offenses.
