I had the exact same thing happen to me. Now I am angry and wish to turn the scammer into the authorities. He lives in Bucharest Romainia. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Could each person who has received an email from a Russian scammer please run the email through an IP address locator. I am curious to see if they all have the same IP address. Email me your results. Thanks.

I am concerned that I may be in the process of being scammed by a person who suddenly needs help paying for a visa to visit me in the U.S. Can someone help trace through an e-mail I have been corresponding with ?

To tonyhobo: if (s)he's asking you for money for ANY reason, you are being scammed. Young, single Russian women CANNOT travel to the US unless its on a fiancee visa, which she cannot obtain without YOU ALREADY HAVING TRAVELED TO HER COUNTRY. The person you are corresponding with is probably a MAN, who would love nothing more than to have you wire ALL of your money. These Russian scammers are a DISGUSTING, VILE, PATHETIC bunch of SCUM SUCKING LEECHES. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY. IF you REALLY want to waste your money, simply burn it. That's the same effect you'll get if you wire her(him) any money.
